The jrotc department
JROTC and ROTC were established in 1916 with the National Defense Act.
This program Is a High School Division Program and was established in 2000 following application by the New Haven School Board to the Department of the Army (DA).
The Faculty assigned to the JROTC Department are retired regular Army personnel , who have served 20 years or more on active duty.
The SAI (Senior Army Instructor) is a retired Senior NCO or Senior CO who holds responsibility to maintain that DA training is properly adhered to and that the Cadet Corps is disciplined to the policies of the School Principal.
The AI (Army Instructor) is chosen based on their extensive military experience. The AI is interested in the well being of the Unit, but even more so in the well being of each individual cadet.
