Battalion Adjutant (S-1): The battalion adjutant is the administrative assistant to the battalion commander. T he S-1 is responsible for the maintenance of cadet records, the battalion commander, the battalion XO, or the JROTC Military Staff may assign the preparation of orders and performing other administrative duties as. Specifically, the duties of the S-1 include:
- Aligns the battalion at all battalion formations.
- Receives the attendance reports at all battalion formations.
- Prepares and publish unit roster.
- Prepares and publish any orders necessary to the battalion
- Maintains the qualification records and personal files of all cadets.
- Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time be the Battalion Commander, battalion XO, or the JROTC Military Staff.
Battalion Security Officer (S-2): The battalion security officer is responsible for the enforcement of the provision of the security requirements of the battalion. The S-2 is also responsible for maintaining the battalion’s key control system, weapons inventories, and sensitive items inventories. Specifically, the duties of the security officer include:
- Makes periodic inspections of the security of weapons and supplies.
- Maintains inventories of key control, weapons, and sensitive items.
- Responsible for care, maintenance, and accountability of weapons.
- Conducts the ambassador program in support of school activities.
- Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the battalion commander, battalion XO, or the JROTC Military Staff.
Battalion Training and Operations Officer (S-3): The battalion S-3 assist the Battalion Commander in the conduct of training and general supervision of all training activities of the Corps of Cadets. Specifically, the duties of the S-3 are:
- Prepares the weekly training schedules for all companies.
- Post the weekly traing schedules no later than one week in advance on appropriate JROTC bulletin boards.
- Prepares and installs the public address system for use when necessary.
- Inspects the drill field prior to use by the battalion and insures the field is policed after use.
- Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Battalion Commander, battalion XO, or the JROTC Military Staff.
Battalion Supply Officer (S-4): The battalion supply officer is responsible for the maintenance, security, and record keeping for all U.S Government property. The security of property is coordinated with the S-2. Under the supervision of the Military Property Custodian, the S-4 maintains a running inventory of property of all classes. Specific duties of the S-4 include:
- Ensures the JROTC Clothing and Equipment Records for each cadet has been initiated and is in proper order
- Conducts inventories of supplies and equipment and reports to the results to the Military Property Custodian.
- Cleans the supply room on a weekly basis.
- Ensure adequate cleaning and materials are on hand and available for use during maintenance activities.
- Conducts issues/turn-ins of clothing and equipment to cadets.
Battalion Public Affairs/Recruiting Officer (S-5): The battalion-recruiting officer establishes plans policies and procedures to recruit sufficient students to maintain the “Bulldog Battalion” enrollment at SAI directed level. He/she also ensure that the battalion receives appropriate publicity for all cadet activities, maintains the battalion’s protocol list, and ensures the battalion image is appropriately portrayed throughout the school. Specific duties of the S-5 include:
1. Acquaints the students at the middle schools with the JROTC program.
2. Gains community and public understanding as well as support for the JROTC programs at our school.
3.Learn to operate the school video cameras and photograph cameras and is prepared to accompany all the JROTC activities for PAO appropriate coverage.
4.Maintains the JROTC scrapbook on a yearly basis
5.Coordinates for media coverage of cadet events with the High School media center.
6.Writes, coordinates productions of, and issues invitations to all cadet activities.
7.Updates and maintains the battalions protocol list.
8. Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Battalion Commander, Battalion XO, or the JROTC Military Staff

Battalion Fund –Raising Office (S-6): The battalion fund-raising officer assist the commander and SAI in the maintenance and accounting of the cadet fund, plans and assist in all fund-raising events, and maintains the cadet credit card system. Specific duties of the S-6 include:
- Maintain the credit card ledger and receipts in support of all actions.
- Calling the cadet fund advisory council together to determined the use of the cadet funds.
- Coordinating with the S-1 to have the cadet fund advisory council appointed on orders.
- Chairperson for cadet fund advisory council.
- Controls and annotates cadet credit card system.
- Responsible for decoration of areas used for cadet functions.
- Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the battalion commander, battalion XO, or the JROTC Military Staff
